Hello friends and followers!

We have great news here at Party Animals HQ! The co-owners, Eddie and Lisa, recently got engaged. What does that mean for you? Well, a couple of things....

First, we are excited to be learning all about the Austin wedding industry - including some great places where you can get married and include your pet! So stay tuned for all our adventures.

Secondly, because we are SO excited about our upcoming nuptials, we wanted to give away a gift certificate for our "Always a Barksmaid" Package to one lucky couple!

So, here are the rules:

• You must fill out our entry form below to be entered, and only one entry per person
• You must be getting married in 2013 in the Austin or surrounding area

We're Unleashing The Hound Hunt!

Party Animals and It’s Pawsitively Irresistible are proud to present The Hound Hunt – Sniffing Out Austin on September 10, 2011.

This city-wide, dog-centric scavenger hunt will be the premiere event of the year! And it’s all benefitting the Austin Humane Society. The Hound Hunt is sure to be fun for the whole family, including your furry family members!

Here's the schedule of events for 9.10.11

• 2pm – 3pm: “Sniffin’ Registration” - Day of registration & check-in will be held an hour before the Hunt at Jo's Coffee on South Congress.  
• 3pm: “Off The Leash” - The Hunt begins! Teams will be given a Pawsport, and a kick-doggy-butt tote filled with swag, on a first-in-line basis at Jo's Coffee. Once given the Pawsport, teams will run off to our Hydrant stops to sniff out clues, participate in barktivities and act as pawperazzi! (so make sure to bring a camera!)

• 6pm: “Hound Round Up” - Teams will join us at metrodog, points will be tallied and winners announced and celebrated! Some of our prizes include a $50 gift card to metrodog and a 6-week training course at Zoom Room!
• 6pm – 8pm: “After Pawty!” - Free and open to the public, so invite all your friends! We'll have some yummy drinks by El Viejo Luis, the Evil Weiner will be there serving hot dogs and Austin Humane Society will have their mobile adoption van for anyone looking to adopt a new furbaby!

There are tons of ways to receive points, and our scavenger hunt is special because you don’t have to complete every activity. We want to promote a FUN filled day with no rush. One that includes tattoos (for both humans & hounds!), fun photos and some awesome doggy swag.

We do have a secret for you though. At the hunt, you will also receive extra points if your entire team comes in matching outfits (Tshirts, theme, costume, sky's the limit!).

Austin Couture, Doggy Style!

We’re really excited here at Party Animals HQ to put together this special for our pets (and their humans!) during Austin Fashion Week. For the last week, we’ve been sniffing and scouting all over town for the best in Fido Fashion in Austin! Rugby, Eddie and I (Lisa) had an absolute blast….and Rugby got a LOT of treats along the way! Thank you to everyone for your incredible hospitality!

And although I’m sure we do much better here in Austin, we still need to keep our furry family members stimulated!

Dirty Dog to Clean Dog on a Sunny Sunday Afternoon!

Between our regular jobs, Party Animals and everything in between Eddie and I rarely have free time on the weekends. So on Sunday we wanted to do something special with Rugby....

With this insane heat, we wanted to be indoors. So we headed over to Dirty Dog on Mesa Drive to have a little bonding, clean time with the Rug!

He really enjoyed his bath - I think he knew he was being pampered! Rugby is a joy in our life, but it's been a little tough. He's very nervous, and without warning he can snap....as it shows on my hand with battle love scars. We know he means well, he's really a sweetheart. He's been doing really well the last few months, so I decided to give it a go as well...

See the adoration? Yeah, he loves me now!

Rugby was on his best behavior....he even let us clean his ears and wash his behind!  

We had such a lovely time. The staff were fantastic, and helpful! The patrons seemed to be cheery, even if not all the dogs felt the same way. But it was a great bonding experience with Rugby.

And of course, he got a nice warm blowdry
