Teeny's Seven Year Itch!

Marteeny McDougall, spokesdog for Teeny's Friends, is turning 7 this year, and he's inviting everyone to celebrate with him!

Join Party Animals as we throw Teeny a Seven Year Itch pawty at metrodog!

Transport back to Old Hollywood while you & your pooch strutt your stuff down the red carpet. Keep an eye out for the Pawparazzi snappin' your photo! 
Snatch a star from the mouth watering Doggy Treat Buffet provided by It's Pawsitively Irresistible. 

Pampered pooches can enjoy a soothing massage by Skillful Paws, 
while our Human guests munch on goodies from Silver Grill Cafe and Lick It Bite It Or Both.

And for those over 21, we'll have a special Marteeny to wash it all down with!

As much as Teeny loves to be pampered with gifts, all he wants this year is to help his furry friends in need. We welcome you to bring a toy, as Teeny's Friends will be hosting a doggy toy drive during the pawty!

Celebrate Love Your Pet Day!

Feb 20th is Love Your Pet Day! We know you show your pet you love them daily, but why not make this Sunday extra special for them? They will appreciate it, and you'll probably feel even happier before starting your Monday! Here's a few suggestions we've put together for Love Your Pet Day:

1. Take a walk, take a hike or just let Fido run free at one of Austin's off-leash dog parks. It should still be great outdoors on Sunday, even with a little cloud coverage. Make sure to pack some treats, water & doggie poop bags! 

2. Read a book to your pet. If you have any reading you need to catch up on, now's a great time! And if not, pick up the Austin Chronicle and read some articles aloud. With the right tone & expressions, your pet will be very content to be curled up next to you while you engage in "conversation."

3. Go buy your pooch a KONG toy! These are great interactive toys where treats are stored inside for their delight! You can find them at most dog boutiques like metrodog at The Domain or Lofty Dog in the 2nd Street District. 

4. Take them out to dinner at one of Austin's very dog friendly restaurants. Have a delish burger at Freddie's Place, or just relax at Jo's.  Both have great outdoor patios where you can enjoy your pooch's company!

5. Consider giving your pup a message! It helps them relax and assists circulation. Learn how to give your dog a massage on PetPlace.com.

Don't forget all other pets - if you have a hamster, let it out a little longer than usual. Kitty Cat? Get them a cute toy with some catnip! Remember, it's Love Your PET Day, so love on all your furry & feathery friends!
