Party Animals Surprise!

Hello friends and followers!

We have great news here at Party Animals HQ! The co-owners, Eddie and Lisa, recently got engaged. What does that mean for you? Well, a couple of things....

First, we are excited to be learning all about the Austin wedding industry - including some great places where you can get married and include your pet! So stay tuned for all our adventures.

Secondly, because we are SO excited about our upcoming nuptials, we wanted to give away a gift certificate for our "Always a Barksmaid" Package to one lucky couple!

Teen Woof - an 80's Canine Shindig!

Rubgy, Party Animals resident pooch, wanted his very own shindig. So we've been waiting for his birthday month to throw this kick-doggy-butt affair! On October 15th, we hosted Rugby's 8th birthday party, 80's style at metrodog. Here are some photos!

This is Rugby - in his adorable party hat made specially by Midtown Groom & Board.

We went all out with our 80's theme. The "Ally Sheedy," vodka injected Capri Suns, were a big hit! And we didn't forget the kids with The "Molly Ringwald," which were just Capri Suns.

We love making custom design sets, including Rugby's Teen Woof Mix Tape doggy swag bag tag! Wow - say that three times fast! Check out the custom invitation we created for his party here.

Rugby LOVED his doggy buffet, The Barkfest Club, provided by It's Pawsitively Irresisible. And these treats really were irresistible!

Rugby didn't forget the ladies! Our domesticated divas were pampered by Midtown Groom & Board. This is Pixie, Lisa's family dog, enjoying her first nail pawlish!

We're Unleashing The Hound Hunt!

Party Animals and It’s Pawsitively Irresistible are proud to present The Hound Hunt – Sniffing Out Austin on September 10, 2011.

This city-wide, dog-centric scavenger hunt will be the premiere event of the year! And it’s all benefitting the Austin Humane Society. The Hound Hunt is sure to be fun for the whole family, including your furry family members!

Here's the schedule of events for 9.10.11

• 2pm – 3pm: “Sniffin’ Registration” - Day of registration & check-in will be held an hour before the Hunt at Jo's Coffee on South Congress.  
• 3pm: “Off The Leash” - The Hunt begins! Teams will be given a Pawsport, and a kick-doggy-butt tote filled with swag, on a first-in-line basis at Jo's Coffee. Once given the Pawsport, teams will run off to our Hydrant stops to sniff out clues, participate in barktivities and act as pawperazzi! (so make sure to bring a camera!)

• 6pm: “Hound Round Up” - Teams will join us at metrodog, points will be tallied and winners announced and celebrated! Some of our prizes include a $50 gift card to metrodog and a 6-week training course at Zoom Room!
• 6pm – 8pm: “After Pawty!” - Free and open to the public, so invite all your friends! We'll have some yummy drinks by El Viejo Luis, the Evil Weiner will be there serving hot dogs and Austin Humane Society will have their mobile adoption van for anyone looking to adopt a new furbaby!

There are tons of ways to receive points, and our scavenger hunt is special because you don’t have to complete every activity. We want to promote a FUN filled day with no rush. One that includes tattoos (for both humans & hounds!), fun photos and some awesome doggy swag.

We do have a secret for you though. At the hunt, you will also receive extra points if your entire team comes in matching outfits (Tshirts, theme, costume, sky's the limit!).

Canine Chic

Well our super fun, pawtastic, Austin Pet Fashion Week has come to an end. And for our last day, we wanted to go out with a howl! During Fashion Week, it’s not just about the trendy clothes and sexy shoes. So today, we’d like to feature beautifying your pooch with what God gave them – yes, that’s right, we’re talking nails, manes and dyes. Check out some of the furrtastic ways Midtown Groom and Board can play up your already howlin’ hott hound!

This oh-so-glam Yorkie, Roxy, was done up specially to match her mommy’s ‘do. What a cutie – talk about turnin’ heads!

Whether for Howloween, a theme party or a day at the park – Franklin’s got it going on! He is the cutest Frankosaurus we’ve ever seen!

What’s Austin without Hipsters? Groomed and done up at Midtown, Gus shames all the naked pooches with his adorable Hipster outfit. We actually found out that he was Scarecrow for Dogoberfest last year – but he totally rocks the Hipster look!

No domesticated diva is complete without some nail pawlish! Check out Shiner’s adorable glittery pink polish! I guarantee someone will sniff her butt while she’s out on the town!

This super cute pup is letting everyone know to Keep Austin Weird with his red Mohawk. Don’t you just want to squeeze him?!

And for that Party Animal, Midtown will custom make a hat especially for your four-legged-birthday-dog! They’re making a hat for Rugby’s upcoming Teen Woof pawty – I can’t wait to see how he looks with it!

We’re really excited here at Party Animals HQ to put together this special for our pets (and their humans!) during Austin Fashion Week. For the last week, we’ve been sniffing and scouting all over town for the best in Fido Fashion in Austin! Rugby, Eddie and I (Lisa) had an absolute blast….and Rugby got a LOT of treats along the way! Thank you to everyone for your incredible hospitality!
