April Showers, Easter Eggs and a New Family Member!

We all love a good party, so we've come up with a great new reason for you to have one: throw an adoption pawty for your new fur kid!

Adopt a pet during the month of April from the Austin Humane Society and receive $10 off any Party Animals package. Plus, we’ll donate $10 back to AHS!

Jack the Pug celebrates his 4th birthday, doggy style!

Dog owners and party goers are in for a real treat on March 26th. Jack Adkins-Stowell is celebrating his fourth birthday, doggy style. And he's invited everyone!

Party Animals will be hosting the shindig on Saturday, March 26th, 2011 at metrodog. An all day affair with specials and a rescue group, the pawty itself will run from 7pm-9pm.

Austin Pug Rescue will be at the event, and because it is Jack’s favorite organization he’s donating a portion of the proceeds from the party to this rescue group. Shopping & a party - talk about win - win!

There will be delicious Pup-cake and doggy bags filled with swag provided by It’s Pawsitively Irresistible

Domesticated divas can roll over and relax while getting a Peticure by Midtown Groom and Board.

A fun Fito Foto Booth with tons of funky props will be provided by Monika Kelley Photography.

Don't worry, we won't let the whole party go to the dogs. If feeling parched, Jack-a-Ritas will be served by Treaty Oak Rum.

“Jack’s birthday is this month and of course he wanted to have a huge birthday bash at his store with his sister Sophie,” said Alex Stowell, co-owner of metrodog and Jack’s human. “Party Animals has been so kind to work with Jack on everything he wants and more!”

Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun!

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" - Robin Williams
The month of March brings a lot of happiness. Spring has arrived, birds are chirping and there’s some great celebrations like Spring Break, Saint Patrick’s Day and National Puppy Day. But the best part is, Austin's beautiful outdoors! So why not let our doggies in on the fun? We knew you would, so we’ve made this list of ways they can enjoy Austin this spring...and into the summer!

1. We all wish we had enough time to take our dogs for a hike, but with our busy schedules and daily grind, sometimes a brisk walk is all we've got left to offer. Have a seat, relax and take a look at Hound for Hound. They offer a Dog Day Afternoon where they’ll take your pooch on a trip to the greenbelt!

2. Go get your classy canine a Peticure! Midtown Groom & Board
offers a huge array of services to pamper your pooch, but their peticures definitely get Two-Paws-Up! And while you peruse their galleries, make sure to check out their Dog Tattoos and really cool "Austin" dos!

3. "Dancing with your feet is one thing, dancing with your heart is another, but dancing with your dog is something else!!" - Deb Abigt, founder of Paws-4-Freestyle Yeah, how awesome is that? Check out their upcoming class for Canine Freestyle in Austin!

4.  Love Yoga? Doga focuses on bonding and spending time with your dog by incorporating canine massage, dog & human poses and lots of hugs & petting! Nicole of Austin Doga offers classes every few Sundays at South Paws Play School.

5. Have a super active pup that loves to run wild? Well Jennifurrr's Pet Services has the solution for you: RollerDog. Your pup can choose to run, sprint, trot or just stroll along with their lead Musher, Jeff. They’ll even text you an update to let you know how far & fast your dog ran!

6. Want to check out a pet party? We’re hosting a shingdig for Jack the pug at our favorite venue in town, metrodog! Join us on March 26th for a day filled with fun, food and fotos! Stay tuned, the event & RSVP will be up soon!

7. How about some fun & fitness for both you and your dog? FitDog offers a fun, educational bootcamp where you can enhance your human-dog bond, all while keeping fit!

8. Get involved in something really special and volunteer with your pet. Therapy Pet Pals of Texas is a volunteer organization that shares the love of pets with institutionalized individuals who are not given the very special and unconditional love that our furry friends can give.

9. Do you ever reminisce of summer camp from the good ‘ole days? Escape for a weekend and take your canine along for a fun trip to Canine Camp 2011! From basic obedience & social etiquette to canine & companion sports, The Canine Center for Training and Behavior has a great weekend of fun waiting for you....and the human!

10. The Travis Agility Group is a non-profit organization that was formed to promote the sport of dog agility in the Austin/Central Texas area. They use positive motivation to train your dogs, give your dogs more confidence and create a stronger bond.
